Purpose of the Y's Menettes

To be a worldwide fellowship of all faiths working together in mutual respect and affection, based on the teachings of Jesus Christ, and with a common loyalty to the YMCA, striving through active service to develop, encourage and provide leadership to build a better World for all mankind.

Who We Are

We are the partner organization in Y's Men International and the Service Club to the YMCA. In Amherst, we are in particular, a group of women closely associated with the Amherst Y's Men, supporting them in all functions. In doing this we support our local YMCA and other community endeavors. The Y's Menettes may be wives of Y's Men or any woman who wish to enjoy the fellowship of the Y's Menettes and support us in our projects.

We are an International Organization, found in many parts of the world, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Canada, India, Scandinavia, South America, and USA.

The Y's Menettes Prayer

God bless all Y's Menettes here,

And all whom we hold dear,

As now we pray.

To Every Y's Menette far and near,

We pledge devotion most sincere:

New zeal our hearts imbue,

And consecrate ourselves anew.
