Where and When Do We Meet?

 

Meetings are held monthly, usually on the last Wednesday of the month, at the Y's Menettes meeting room of the Amherst YMCA.

The business meeting begins at 7:00pm and is usually followed by a program and refreshments. Our programs include guest speakers, craft nights and visits from Regional or Area representatives.

 

More About the Y's Menettes

 

  • We have an annual Christmas party and closing banquet.

  • Each month, a bulletin is prepared for all Y's Menettes to keep knowledgeable in what is going on within the club and within other clubs.

  • A scrap book is prepared annually, depicting all the activities of our club in picture format.

  • Our local club is presently 21 members strong with members ranging in age from 25 - 80.

  • Our club has  won many awards over the years at Regional Conventions for such things as Club Excellence, Bulletin, Scrapbook and the Leah Bell Award.

  • As a group, we assist the Y's Men with their district council meetings,  the citrus campaign and the Annual Home Show.

  • Together with the Men's Club, we enjoy a monthly pot luck supper - the food is fabulous!

  • Annually we are treated to a Charter Night Dinner, a Ladies Appreciation Event, a Christmas Party, a Year End Barbecue and lots of laughs at the yearly Y's Men/Y's Guys baseball blowout.

 

What Does It Cost To Join

 

  • Club fees are $10.00 annually.

  • We have a monthly collection and a mystery prize cost as well
